For anyone not yet getting the news....it's lights out:
Thank you for being a WebMiles member! The events of September 11, 2001 have negatively impacted the economy and in particular, the travel industry. Consumers are traveling less and there is likewise a depressed demand for programs that offer travel rewards. For WebMiles, Inc. this has meant lost partnerships and lost revenue for the company. WebMiles has come to a point where it can no longer continue to offer its travel rewards program to consumers. On April 15, WebMiles members will no longer earn miles in the WebMiles program. Members of the WebMiles program that are eligible for redemption can redeem their miles in accordance with the program rules until May 8, 2002. You may already be eligible to redeem your miles. Use the following reward schedule to calculate you airline travel discount. Miles Travel Discounts: Miles Travel Discounts 8,000 miles $100 travel discount 15,000 miles $200 travel discount 20,000 miles $300 travel discount 25,000 miles $500 travel discount Each redemption level can be combined with other levels, so for example, 8,000 miles (good for $100 in value) plus 25,000 miles (good for $500 in value) gets you up to $600 in travel discounts. Note that each ticket, is considered a separate transaction meaning that multiple tickets cannot be combined together under a single redemption. All redemption requests must be submitted by May 8, 2002. |
