MyPoints "Monthly" bonus question
I was just informed by MyPoints that when they say "monthly" they really mean "every 30 days".
I ordered from Office Depot in March and received 1,000 bonus points...Then went back and ordered again in April, but when clicked on award link, received the dreaded message, "not available...only once every 30 days". I contacted MyPoints and they informed me that when they say on their website "monthly" they really mean every 30 days. My question to fellow flyer talk members??? If I told you you can take advantage of an offer "monthly" wouldn't that mean "once per calendar month" to you??? Using their thinking you can take advantage of an offer on January 1st and January 31st and get credit for both offers since "monthly" means every 30 days. Thoughts? |
I think its ambiguous language, and reasonable people could come to either conclusion.

I can't remember the wording on my confirmation screen yesterday. It may have only said month, but for some reason I did reach the conclusion it meant once per month-length period.

That's strange... I made a purchase through MyPoints from OfficeDepot on April 26 and then on March 1. Got credited the points on both occasions.

This has been a long standing policy with MyPoints, where daily means "cannot do it twice in a contiguous 24 hour interval", and so on....
