Milesource Problems
Has anyone else had problems redeeming with Milesource? In particular for Gift Certicates from giftcertificates.ca?
Here is my problems (sorry for the length) My fiancee and I redeemed for $50 Home Depot GC's back on Aug 22. Nothing arrived after 4 Weeks. So I emailed Milesource and they replied that giftcertificates.ca would confirm within 4 weeks after the Milesource confirmation email to me (one week after redemption date. So that puts it up to 5 Weeks. After 5 weeks no email from giftcertificates.ca and no GC's in the mail. So I decide to email giftcertificates.ca on Oct 11 and they repsond that they process all Milesource requests within 2 Business days, however they cannot find any redemptions in mine nor my fiancee's name. So I forward this email to Milesource and receive no reply. I email it again on Oct 18 and finally receive a reply from Milesource on Oct 19. In it they state that they did submit it but apologize for the mix up and will submit it manually to giftcertificates.ca and that I should get a response in 10-14 days. So that brings us to Sunday Nov. 4 which is 16 days after the last Milesource email with no response. So I emailed a somewhat more stern email on the 4th, and now here we are on the 6th and no response at all from Milesource. So now I am at a loss of what to do? Any suggestions? And here I am complaining about a redemption that was made on Oct. 16th. I haven't received a confirmation from giftcertificates.com, yet. As a matter of fact, I have just sent an email to Milesource Customer Service asking for an explanation.
As for your situation, I would email Milesource again and ask them to resubmit the confirmation number to giftcertificates. com. I have done this in past redemptions and within two days, I've received my confirmation info from giftcertificates.com. I'm hoping this will work again for me. Good luck with your situation!!! |

Thanks for the info, I have tried calling them numerous times and always get voicemail with which I do leave messages, now this is for the memberservice and general mailboxes. They are sly with their emails by not putting in their last name so I am unable to use the company directory when I call them.

Milesource as far as I can tell from my own experiences is a scam. Earlier this year when I first joined them they rarely credited my points correctly. In response to my e-mails I just got the runaround. Finally, after calling & leaving several message, plus being told by a customer service rep she would call me back. She never did! I have given up!! I thought about reporting them to the better business bureau, but unfortunately as they probably count on I have little time to pursue this matter.

Just a quick update. I've emailed Milesource asking them to resubmit the confirmation number to Giftcertificates.com. Well, they did and just yesterday I have finally received an email from Giftcertificates.com for my $25 Supercertificate.

Well I thought I would update you all on the situation. Giftcertificates.ca has finally received a redemption on 11/20/01 but only in my name. However when giftcertificates.ca emailed me they said they could not send the gift card because Milesource has put my account on hold!!!!! COME ON!!!! I've put in countless emails, phone calls and even a fax in the last week to milesource to clear up the problem and they do this me??? All I got to say is my online reward program loyalties are definetly not with Milesource anymore!!!

I guess I will clear up some confusion here, I guess it is not my account that is on hold but it is something bigger then that, not just having to do with me or my fiancee. I don't think I am able divulge the information that has been brought to my attention but I will keep you all up to date on my redemptions

Well I thought I would post an update:
I finally received my $50 gift certificate on Dec 4, almost three and a half months after redeeming. My fiancee has not got hers though! All I can say is that Milesource pretty much sucks with their customer service. Over this last three months I must have sent over 12 emails, left 5 phone messages, and faxed 2 or 3 times to get the first gift certificate. Now it still continues for the other. I know that for a little while Milesource's account with giftcertificates.ca was suspended (lack of payment maybe?) but that only came up about 2 weeks ago with all prior correspondence leaning towards Milesource's failure to submit the redemptions.
