Milesource - Scam or worth the effort to collect?

My favorite mileage earning site is gone and I wanted some FT feedback on the other ones still out there. Thanks in advance.

Although some people have had problems redeeming, I have gotten everything that they owed me. So in my opinion, this program is worth it. It does take a long time before you can redeem for anything. If you are interested in signing up, please email me at [email protected] and I will send you the referral link by email.

I have had no operational problems with milesource and have been able to redeem all my awards to date.

My chief complaint is that redemption levels can change without notice. The 4,500 point award I wanted became 5,500 just as I was getting close.

I am also shameless enough to suggest you use this link so I can be your referer:

I have made redmption requests with Milesource numerous times and have always received my award. In my opinion, this one is one of the "good guys".

I have collected quite a few points with Milesource, and only redeemed once, about 7 Weeks ago and have yet to receive my reward. Also for us Canadians they raised the redemption level for a free flight from 25000 to 51000!!!!!!! I was trying to build up to that 25000 but now I'm just using points for GC's and other items. To build up to 51000 would take many years and now that awrdmiles expire after two years its not worth it. Other then that I still like Milesource a lot and will continue to participate in this program.

It does take F-O-R-E-V-E-R to accummulate awardmiles from Milesource. But I've had no problems receiving any of my awards. And I agree with them changing the amount of awardmiles without any notice.

I was trying to get the $25 Hertz/Avis Flexi Plan for 3,500 awardmiles. When I finally got enough awardmiles, I went to the redemption page and wham!!! they've raised the limit to 3,600 awardmiles. Sure, it upset me, but it was only 100 more awardmiles.

However, they are very reliable.

Getting points is slow, but redemption is pretty fast

I have more that enough points for a local ticket. Lots of points from freebees in the Jumbo Get section, and my referral program from my web site is going well. In fact, the latter is going so well that I think I will "let it ride" to see if I can get to the international ticket level before the points expire.
