Experience with ClickRewards Plus (GOOD!)

Registered a couple of cards with ClickRewards Plus this weekend ( http://www.clickrewards.com/clickrewardsplus ), then went to Service Merchandise a few minutes later and bought something. Points posted this morning to my ClickRewards account ... very nice! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

On the other hand ... this is not good:

Well, I can't get the link to work because of Flyertalks censor option ... but it's F - U - ... I'm sure you can figure out the rest ...

If that's true, it's very sad and I hope someone comes up with the cash. They are the only site of its kind that I've ever used whose email customer service is decent and prompt.

United paid over $100 million for MyPoints. Netcentives' market capitalization as of close of market yesterday was $11.3 million ... I can't imagine someone won't step up and buy them ... *worst* case, United should buy them and merge them with MyPoints ... (keeping the superior ClickRewards currency!).

So, is it time to bail on ClickRewards?

Another thought just occurred. What would be the value to a prospective purchaser of the proprietary information held by ClickRewards in connection with its Reward Central/Max Miles program? It tracks its customers' FF activity across all programs and airlines.

Wouldn't the more logical solution be for AOLAadvantage to pull a Microsoft & buy Clickrewards (eliminating only real rival with database of similarly-minded consumers)?

Something tells me that Mypoints is on the way out, perhaps to be merged with United's shopping program.

If Clickrewards is not doing well, guess we all should redeem our Clickmiles ASAP.

Doesn't look good. I think I'll transfer all my clickmiles to Starwood. This way I still have some flexibility as to which airline to use.

Netcentives, the company which brings you ClickRewards, is the company which runs AOLAAdvantage for AA and AOL.
