PC's
I need to buy a new pc or two for my office. Any recommendations on how to get points for Dell or Micron pc's?

Use a mileage earning credit card and also consider purchasing via ebates.com for additional savings! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

The link on greenpoints didn't work, and they told me that dell is no longer a partner. The dell link from goldpoints seems to work. You get 5 points per dollar, (1.25 miles if your gold points card is through Radisson).

check out cybergold too -- and mypoints -- last I knew both offered points/cash back for dell.
(edited to add) I really like Dell -- their support is wonderful -- has saved me fixing my families PC's for the last few years! No, I don't work for Dell, just am the family computer guru and am always grateful for something that gives me a break from fixing the family computers! Thought I'd ask one more time. I know have to buy three new pc's so the potential points are really racking up.
Any ideas on points or promo's with airlines going on? |

WOW! Great site -- and sure covered all the sites I uncovered!
One other possibility -- that I didn't see, off hand-- is that if you use it to buy a web cert.-- either thru Mypoints (where you will then earn points for buying it) or thru some other source, you then have a 'credit card' (for it acts like a 'real mastercard') that you can use to buy products (gift certs in many cases, if you want to then redeem them for more partners) for AOL/AA merchants (does not have to be in the name of the person buying) or clickrewards (to transfer to any airline). This is very useful for the 20/20. If you are buying multiple machines, and it works to buy them one at a time, then you can buy/earn the certs. and have them sent to different e-mail addresses (if sent to same they will combine them). You can then 'pick them up' for different people (your kids, parents, etc). You can set up forwarding addresses for any name/address combination and have them forward to your address, so you are the one picking them up. Then you can use them to register in various plans (like TWA avaitors shop) in the person's name and get the miles. Just my thoughts on it. |

They don't if you use your MyPoints to "buy" them, only if you want 'hard cards', not for e-cards. Just another option.

There is a Dell Visa/Mastercard that you can get to earn 1 Dellpoint/$1 from FirstUSA. My brother has been using that card for 2 years and have gotten a nice Dell Inspiron for $500 off, great thing about this card is that unlike other affinity cards, it has no limit as to how many points you can earn pre year.
