I just tried to sign up and it says:
"ECHO has temporarily
reached its current
registered user limit."
It asked for my e-mail address and said it would notify me when I could join, but when I hit submit, it wouldn't work. I think they're overloaded!

The site also threw me a curve ball. I tried to refer myself (to get a reference number), but it only gave me a three digit number. I thought this was wrong and checked it again, but that's what it said.
When I got home, I checked it again and lo and behold, it was a four digit number.
If the site is accepting new signups, please use the reference below:
Thanx,
DD

A couple of things I've noticed listening last night and this morning:
- To figure out what your referer URL is, you have to refer yourself to read the email.
- For those of us that like to get free stuff other than airplane tickets, 75 hours of listening gets you an $18 gift certificate from Amazon.com, up to 300 hours per month.
- Even with a cable modem, performance is spotty due to network traffic. Especially if I'm doing a lot of other downloads on my P3-450. I'd be skeptical of performance on a 56k modem.
- I thought you'd only get points if you rate songs as you listen. Apparently, for now at least, you don't have to rate anything if you don't want to do so. Great for those of us with persistent connections, until Amazon figures out that I'm going to make $72/month by leaving my computer on with the speakers off overnight!!
