Marcus is an online a bank owned by Goldman Sachs that has really good rates on their savings account. Occasionally they have great rates on CDs too.

if you join through a referral link, you (and the referrer) both earn a referral bonus of an additional 0.20% annual percentage yield on your Online Savings Accounts for 3 months. Currently the rate is 0.5% before the referral bonus and so you can get the .7 rate for 3 months.
Here is my referral link: https://www.marcus.com/share/KEN-JGB-8Z97

But wait there is more. Once you have an account you can get an even higher savings rate plus a $100 bonus.

After you join and before you funding goes through (or any time before Feb 12 2021) there is a $100 eligible savings bonus if you enroll in the bonus by Feb 12,2021. You need to deposit at least $10,000 and keep it in for 90 days. Here is the link to enroll in the bonus:
https://www.marcus.com/us/en/savings/osa-savingsbonus-1Existing customers are eligible for the bonus. After enrollment, you must deposit $10,000 or more in new funds (internal transfers won’t count) into a Marcus Online Savings Account within 10 days of enrollment and maintain at least $10,000 of those new funds in your account in addition to your account balance at the time of enrollment (whatever that balance is) for 90 consecutive days from the date of reaching the required dollar amount. Multiple deposits are allowed to reach the required dollar amount and can be made by joint owners for a joint account.

Remember that .5% rate (+ referral bonus) from above? Well, if you are an AARP member, you get a .1% higher rate on their savings account for 2 years simply by adding your AARP membership number which can be added after you open the account. This currently means you will get a 0.6% savings account rate plus the referral bonus rate bump up for 3 months and a $100 bonus if you meet the bonus requirements. A few months ago they had a really good offer for CDs for AARP members. They had a 1.10% for various maturities including short-term CDs when it was available. There is no age requirement to join AARP and it it is probably worth it just to get the higher interest rate. Currently $12 to join for the first year if you sign up for auto renew which you can cancel. There are usually various cash back offers to join AARP through a cash back site and/or using a credit card offer. These offers come and go.

Update. The current rate is 0.5% but if you join through a referral link they are doubling the rate for both the referrer and referee so 1% if you sign up by 12/31/21:
As a Marcus customer, you can pay it forward and help your friends grow their savings, too. When you refer a new customer to Marcus, you both could earn a Referral Bonus: an additional 0.50% Annual Percentage Yield (APY)—doubling the current APY—on your Online Savings Accounts for 3 months. After you sign up , you can add an AARP membership to your profile and I believe you get .1% more for next 2 years.
