Looks like it only works on books sold directly by amazon - not third party sellers. Still, had lots of books I wanted that are sold by amazon, so thanks for sharing!

Ohhh, explains why it didn't work for me. I'm an Amazon noob a bit so I'll have to try and figure out what books they're selling directly.

EDIT: Just tried one "shipped and sold by amazon.ca"...nada. Maybe it doesn't work on the Canadian portal?

Have you tried ordering from the US site?

Compare the shipping price, they often have reasonable shipping.

Ordered a book for one of my FT Secret Santa recipients today. Forgot to apply the code. Chatted with an Amazon rep, and they applied the code for me. :D

Well drat. Wish I had noticed it sooner, although it probably wouldn't have applied to the book I wanted. I think the book I wanted might be discontinued. When I bought it originally as a gift a year ago for a friend it was $35; bought it at local brick & mortar shop. Checking Amazon right now they have some used in very good condition copies from 3rd party seller selling for 15cents + 3.99 shipping. The only new copies the rate is $65. I'm not paying $30 over retail for the book. I did order one of the 15 cent ones though for myself.
