American Express Serve Prepaid Card - Get $25 when you add $25

https://www.serve.com/VZBTS25/

Signed up for this last week. It's a prepaid card from AMEX. Sign up for free and you can link another card or your bank account to it. I linked a Visa debit card. I funded the card with $25 from the debit card. A few days later, my account was credited with an additional $25. Haven't even received the card in the mail yet to use.

They only asked for the last four of my SSN.

Once you get the card, I believe you can withdraw the full $50 from an ATM...

Expires Sept 30, 2012.

Just got my card today, activated it, no problems! $50 on it now.

I'm probably just going to use it for my next $50 in purchases rather than withdrawing cash, but good deal for almost no work!

Looks like a great deal! They also are offering $25 when you load $200 on a prepaid card. https://www.americanexpress.com/us/c...L6FBPlpbVtdidg

The first $2.00 ATM fee is waved every month. Could we fund this with a credit card, and then use the ATM to withdraw the money each month?

The fee is waived on the Serve card's side, but not the ATM side. The atm may still charge you. Also, funding with a cc may count as a cash advance, depending on how it is charged to throw account.

Has anyone used an Amex to fund their account? If so, does it count as a cash advance?

Looks like it is extended until end of September 2012. I signed up last night, funded it with my Suntrust card and the bonus $25 showed up 5 minutes later.

I think this is key.... anyone know if the charge is a "cash advance" or as a standard charge?

Just signed up and linked my bank account. $50 appeared instantly when I added $25. Any issues with withdrawing the $50 immediately into my bank account? Looks like it's possible, but I'll probably give it some time so I don't get on AMEX's bad side.

Angry Scam for serve.com

iT IS A SCAM.

I funded $25 from my cc.
Then when I call to activate, they want me to fax my SS card to them.
I ask them to refund my $25. They refused, since they have no way to refund money directly to me.
I put a stop order in my cc. and still waiting for my refund.

It is a scam... do not trust them.. they do not even give my money back.

Shouldn't be any issues at all. I'm using it for other things and I have some money in the account and looks like I can push it to my bank account any time.
