The deal for April 11 at New York, New York in Las Vegas is a repeat from 2010. Well, except I snagged it for $250 the last time it was offered. Even at $345, it's a great value.

Apart from Priorityclub are there some other hotel-chains where you can gain status through points?
I saw HHonors, but apparently they do not give it for points.

I see Hilton there, no Hyatt yet.
I'm not sure I find the Hilton that enticing this year given the massive devaluation of points that has come about with the "premium rooms for premium points" pricing system where there is no guarantee that 50k points will get a room even when relatively low rates at a property are available for money.

I don't know a lot about Wyndham but I noticed they had a hotel on Kauai that is 30K points and usually sells for $270 a night ++. Might try to grab this offer and use it for an upcoming trip we have....figure if there turns out to be no availability then I am sure we can use it somewhere for the weekend!

OK, the math on the Wyndham offer using it as a mileage transfer, assuming that you use AMEX for the 10% discount, and, unlike 2011, there is no transfer bonus from any airline (US had a 50% transfer bonus last year)...
$543.60 nets you 190,000 Wyndham points, which can be cashed into 75,200 US/AA/UA/DL/CA/AB and random assorted other mileage plans (and leaves you with 2,000 Wyndham left over).
That's ~.72 CPM (yes, I have the decimal point in the right place, less than a penny a mile).
There are some who would argue that the value's better leaving the points in Wyndham- if you look at some of their overseas properties, I wouldn't necessarily disagree (their resorts in Bali are good point value, for instance). But anything where you're netting mileage at less than 1 cpm is pretty good these days if you ask me, considering that mileage runs are regularly clocking in at 3+ CPM. Another way of looking at this is this deal gets you within spitting distance of an AA J Oneworld Zone 4 award of up to 9,000 miles, with plenty of stopovers.
Have fun, folks.
