People were also laundering points between SB and Bing. That's when they added a lifetime limit of one redemption on SB. Before the "devaluations," you could redeem 475 BR for 500SB, then redeem 500SB for 500BR, and come out ahead by 25BR each time redeeming them back and forth.

So much cheaper and more direct to just buy the $5 Amazon card from Bing for 475 Bing points (assuming you do Bing steadily and redeem at the Gold level) than suffer losses of value in transitions to Swagbucks and then into Amazon.

Even if you don't redeem at Gold level, it's 525 Bing points for the $5 Amazon card.

Yes, now it is, but it didn't used to be. It used to be that you could redeem 475 Bing points to get 500 swagbucks, and then redeem 450 swagbucks for a $5 Amazon gift card. So you'd come out ahead 50 swagbucks this way. Alas, no more .... tls

Ah, tls, I see. I'm not very fluent in swagbucks and was going off what was described as current, not knowing the history well enough! OK thanks for that.

What I'm still wondering (not so much so really since it does seem like a POLITICAL thing) why I could enter the original Bing Rewards from Puerto Rico (a USA territory) and now Microsoft says it's STILL NOT AVAILABLE here, even when using a free VPN program to tell them I'm Stateside.

They DON'T SEEM TO WANT MY BUSINESS. Keep using Google and Chrome for most stuff...

I see on my Dashboard I'm being offered a June bonus of 10 points if I do 625 qualifying searches this month. However, you can only get 20 qualifying searches a day, meaning the I can't get more than 600 qualifying searches. Am I missing something? tls

Hmm. Mine says I only need to perform 175 searches for the bonus. Then again, it might be because I'm silver. I let myself drop down to Silver until I am close to redeeming, as Gold has no benefit until the time of redemption. Bing tends to like to punish those with higher status by giving them crummier bonuses.

I shot them an email asking about it, and they lowered it to 525 searches. So now it's possible.

I guess it makes sense that they want to incentivize people at different levels. tls

I had that too - well actually, my wife's read 625 and mine was 725! (Need a pretty long month for that.) Just when I was finding the time to send them a snotty note asking where they learned math, they fixed it and both now read 525. Hopefully yours was fixed too.

Of course, this means they had some idiot doing it first.

Today is a double-credit day for PC searches. You can get 30 points instead of 15. tls

Short answer is no, but when are you getting it? Searches, redemptions, login, etc?

Searching. I'll do a couple, maybe too fast, and I'll get the error. I'll refresh the page a few times and it'll work. Didn't want this to be sign I was going to be banned

Me neither, and I'm on there pretty much every day.

But the good news is, I think the bad old days of banning and failure to provide rewards and all that disappeared along with the games...and the substantial rewards back from the Club Live and then Club Bing days.
