When the people you refer buy something, it's usually right away after that.

Also just jumping in... so there's a great rate on a Jetsetter sale which is undercutting the hotel website by $150, but is also offering a room that's no longer available on the hotel website - should I be worried about the whole 'we will send you a confirmation number in a week's time bit'... or am I definitely good to go ?

EDIT: booked the room, received confirmation from jetsetter with hotel conf number about three hours later, but the booking was already showing in my HGP account (had added GP # in comments field of booking). Great ! Saving $150

I wouldn't worry about it yet, mine was the same thing. The reason it may not be available is jetsetter may be getting around the minimum stay requirements (as was my case).

Don't put much faith in their let you know in a week thing though, my reservation was made on August 23, and the confirmation came on Wednesday the 8th. I still have five weeks before the trip so I wasn't getting crazy about it yet.

Jetsetter Conga - you get $25 in addition to my $25 - One week only

Figure we can do a conga for this one week deal where both parties actually win for a change ;-) For those that don't know, Jetsetter offers members-only deals on hotels that often are a real savings to publicly available rates. You need an invite to join instantly (or you can join on your own and get credentials in a few days).

This week only, in addition to the $25 a member gets for referring, the new member gets $25 as well (new member credit is automatic; referrer only gets $25 when referee makes a purchase).

Not sure why this should break the longer jetsetter conga line thread here

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/s-p-m...vel-sales.html

but that's up to the moderators to decide or not.

I did want to make a correction to the first post though. Neither member gets any money for just referring somebody. The referral needs to book with them (ie spend money) for anybody to get the referral fee. It's still a good deal, but it's just not free. It's a credit towards a jetsetter purchase.

They have slightly revised the program for this week in celebration of their one year anniversary. Anyone that signs up via a referral link will automatically receive a $25 credit.

While the person who's link it is receives a credit when the referee makes a purchase.

PM me for my referral link.

I joined using mkt's link, but my account credit remains $0.00? Doesn't appear to be automatic...

You might want to email them. It says on the site "Every friend you invite to join Jetsetter, who isn’t already a member, automatically receives a $25 gift to help get started"

If it's to get started, it should be there for your first purchase.

Heramoto used the wrong link. The Nado link had already been used. She should have used the link for exc3ll which is http://www.jetsetter.com/invite/bacot

Can Heramoto change their referrer id thru customer service?
