Thanks, but no love from our local Safeway. My wife was told that without a bar code on the coupon, they would not accept it.

Odd coupon
After I sent the link to my ORD based sibling, I took a closer look at the coupon. There is some sort of airmiles logo, which I find odd since Safeway either has discontinued, or is about to discontinue offering miles.

success
(tho i didn't go last week but went today)
just took a little info from the cust svc person and it was done-ring up the bag and then comp it. took about 5 extra minutes and my safeway's bag is much better than in the coupon. larger (can hold 5 half gallons of milk*) and black nylon with nice strong handles. thanks again kipper ^.

picked up another one* yesterday-took all of 5 extra minutes with the cashier saying that she "didn't have the one in the picture so you get this one" (the nicer and bigger black bag
