Two bookings on same Ryanair flight?
I've been a little careless....
Just booked "connecting" Ryanair flights at DUB, with 70 minutes between them. I've done this a couple of times before and all has gone smoothly (web-check-in, hand luggage only, you can do the gate to gate transfer in about 15 seconds - and I'm happy to take the risk of a delay). This time, I forgot to add web-check-in when buying my flight (or, more accurately, I actively removed it without thinking  ). It now seems that I can't add web-check-in to the booking retroactively, and I don't fancy getting landside and back again in the allotted time. It dawned on me that I could buy the second flight again, for only around €22, and add web-check-in. Is this likely to cause problems? What will they do if they notice the same traveller on the flight twice, only one of whom has checked in? I would dearly love to ask Ryanair, but I'm guessing the chances of getting a straight answer are pretty slim. Cheers |
two ideas...
1) can you cancel the original booking? 2) if not, when you book the second ticket put your middle name in the booking and use a different credit card to pay? |
I don't think Ryanair allows you to 'cancel', but cheers for the second idea.
Thinking about it, I suppose there's no reason why two unrelated John Smiths couldn't be on the same flight, and there's nothing that the two bookings would have in common. |
