Two bookings on same Ryanair flight?
 

I've been a little careless....

Just booked "connecting" Ryanair flights at DUB, with 70 minutes between them.

I've done this a couple of times before and all has gone smoothly (web-check-in, hand luggage only, you can do the gate to gate transfer in about 15 seconds - and I'm happy to take the risk of a delay).

This time, I forgot to add web-check-in when buying my flight (or, more accurately, I actively removed it without thinking :rolleyes: ). It now seems that I can't add web-check-in to the booking retroactively, and I don't fancy getting landside and back again in the allotted time.

It dawned on me that I could buy the second flight again, for only around €22, and add web-check-in. Is this likely to cause problems? What will they do if they notice the same traveller on the flight twice, only one of whom has checked in?

I would dearly love to ask Ryanair, but I'm guessing the chances of getting a straight answer are pretty slim.

two ideas...

1) can you cancel the original booking?
2) if not, when you book the second ticket put your middle name in the booking and use a different credit card to pay?

I don't think Ryanair allows you to 'cancel', but cheers for the second idea.

Thinking about it, I suppose there's no reason why two unrelated John Smiths couldn't be on the same flight, and there's nothing that the two bookings would have in common.
