Ryanair To Challenge Regulator Over DUB
February 13, 2007
Irish low-cost airline Ryanair said on Monday it would launch a fresh legal challenge against the country's air regulation authorities for imposing new restrictions on the use of Dublin Airport. The Commission for Aviation Regulation announced on Monday that due to the likelihood of "significant delays" during the peak summer months, a system of flight slot co-ordination would be required at the airport from March 25 to October 27. This would temporarily replace the existing voluntary system whereby airlines agree take-off and landing slots between themselves with the assistance of an independent coordinator.
