According to the Ferrovie Nord Milano website, it takes 1h 10m for the transfer from Milano Centrale Station to Milano Malpensa Airport (Terminal 1). That's for the service which also services the Fiera and Terminal 2. The direct service is 1h. But that's really quite irrelevant, as no-one (except on a truly shoe-string budget) takes the bus into Milan. Jump on the Malpensa Express and you're into Milano Cadorna Station in 40m flat. Given MXP is my home airport in Italy, I can vouch for these times. |
For this August, I booked two flights on EasyJet for my daughter and me:
AMS-LGW, and 5 days later, LGW-MAD. Total cost for two passengers for all charges, including the credit card booking fee: 140.84 Euros So we have only major airports, and an average per-person-per-flight cost of 35 Euros all in. I've taken four Easyjet flights in the past, two Ryanair flights, and two BMI flights, and see little reason to distinguish among them for intra-Europe hops, although I was happy to get upgraded to BC on BMI (for the slight boost that offers in comfort). |
A LOT cheaper...
Having flown with Ryanair about 20 flights I know they are almost always significantly cheaper than any other alternative from Sweden. As stated earlier you have to play the game:
1. Book early (preferably 3 months or more ahead) 2. Know where you fly to (Ryanairs definition of Stockholm, Paris, Brussels or especially Frankfurt are not the same as everyone elses). 3. Arrive on time for check in, preferrably 2 h before take off 4. Use your luggage limits wisely, 15 kg checked in, 10 kg hand luggage 5. Have a credit card available if things go wrong, like cancelled flights.. So far I have done the following flights from Sweden: Stockholm- Frankfurt 25 € Stockholm- Riga 10 € Stockholm - Rome 45€ Stockholm - Paris 45 € Stockholm- London 40 € Stockholm - Hamburg 30 € All prices are inclusive of all taxes, charges etc and for return flights (2 flights). The service has been adequate all flights, also with assistance for my disabled daughter a few times. Several of my friendsd have flown with Ryanair and just stated they will fly it again and again and again. Why? Fly cheap, arrive on time, no problems.. |
