Pre-strike cancellation period
I have a flight next week from Charleroi (always the prelude to a big mistake).
A national strike has been called on that day and no flights will operate from either Charleroi or Zaventem. Ryanair have not yet cancelled my flight, so I cannot begin the rebooking process. While I have on two different occasions been affected by wildcat strikes at CRL, never a pre-planned strike (to my memory). How far out do Ryanair cancel flights and therefore enable me to begin the rebooking process at their expense? ETA: To answer my own question: it took about 5 days from announcement of the strike, they cancelled the flight this morning. |
OK Thanks for reporting back.
I would think that FR doesn't cancel flights unless it is more or less clear that the strike will in fact take place. There is always a chance that a strike is withdrawn, postponed etc. so I don't think you can blame FR for not cancelling on the same day as strike is announced. |
