Check-in time before flight - Manchester

Does anyone know how long before your flight you can check in at Manchester airport. I have found some information about checking in at least 2 hours before but can you check in 3 hours before?

I presume you mean bag drop? Remember Ryanair charge €/£55 to check in at the airport and €/£20 to print a boarding pass. Do ensure you check in online at least 2 hours before departure to avoid those fees. You can check in online (and print your boarding pass) up to 60 days before departure.

You don’t tell us what time your flight is. The bag drop/check in desks at MAN are open almost throughout the day. They are very busy first thing in the morning and again early afternoon and evening. Provided the desks are open you will normally be able to drop your bag(s) earlier than 2 hours. Bear in mind Manchester Airport will not normally allow you to pass through security more than 3 hours before your scheduled departure time.

Thanks, we are just doing carry on so no bags to drop. Have already got our boarding passes. Our flight is 10:35 on Sunday morning

In that case, if you print your boarding passes at home, you can avoid the check in desk and head straight to security. You should have no problem getting airside any time after 07:30.

Don’t forget to print your return boarding passes too, Ryanair always charge the €/£55 or €/£20 fees for check-in/boarding pass print fee for those who have not checkin online or who do not have their boarding pass.

Enjoy your trip 👍🏻

I'd just add that you can also use BP in Ryanair app instead of printing it.

The exception to this is OP isn't an EU/EEA/UK national or a national of a country for which Ryanair allows online doc check. In that case printing AND visit to the check-in desk are necessary.

I am confused about this bc the Ryanair website says you can use the mobile app BP if you’ve checked in online.

Also. Is 2 hours (or even 90 min) enough for a flight at 6PM to BCN? I ask since not sure if EU requires longer. Prepaid carryon only. US passport.

I fly Ryanair about once a month - and haven't used a printed boarding card for about 10 years!
You can either use the pdf on your phone - or get the mobile boarding pass from the app.
Definitely worth downloading the app - as sometimes you get update (delay) messages in the app before they appear on the airport departure screens.

And yes, 90 or 120 minutes should be fine. Just remember to comply with Ryanair's passport validation requirements at the airport [landside / airside - whatever they require].

As you are a US citizen you are required to have Ryanair verify your visa status.

You can do this online if you meet the requirements, otherwise you will need to go to the visa check desk at the airport before going through security. If the latter, I'd allow a minimum of two hours. Ryanair have a large bank of flights from Manchester between 4pm and 6pm and so things could be busy.
