Ryanair seating guide
 

One of the benefits of Ryanair operating a streamlined fleet of aircraft is that there are very few competing aircraft types or cabin layouts.

I have produced a couple of cabin layout plans which show the seat positions relative to window locations so you can see where the window blanks are located.

Starting with the ubliquitous 737-800 which has been checked using several control points along the length of the cabin for accuracy. The following 737-Max 8200 has been checked using only Ryanair's seat map and so at this time should be treated as more indicative.

It is a shame that the official Ryanair web site is not as detailed.

Just booked Ryanair flights for next year. I was scratching my head at the config of one flight with the 2 seats in row 1. Thanks to the above I can see my return will be on a MAX.

2DEF is great on the 738, if you're travelling alone or a couple be sure to purchase the middle seat, write the pax name as EXTRA (first name) COMFORT SEAT (last name) and add the passport/ID per the lead pax. No one will bother you or stand in your way while using the toilet, 2F is also the only seat on the aircraft to have a usable storage pocket. It's as good as any of the legacies EU C cabins and a fraction of the cost.

On the MAX, 2A is great, again, be sure to book 2B to keep smelly pax away. You won't share legroom with the crew and can totally stretch out.

Thanks hugolover - I'd agree with the 738 review re 2DEF.

What can you say about 2DEF on the 737MAX? I've not been on it before, and I'm curious how close the bulkhead presses against your knees. I'm 6ft 8in/2.02m tall, with a 3-hour flight looming ...

Good seat map. Beware FR overbooks flights so you could lose the extra seat.

If we purchase a "regular" fare that includes 2 cabin bags (personal and roller), but pay for a bulkhead seat, how would they treat that personal bag since there is no seat in front to store it under? I assume in this case it'll be okay to store in the overhead bin with your roller?

Correct, both bags would go in the overhead bins - the same would be true for passengers sitting in emergency exit rows.

I'm looking at a Ryanair flight and the seat map has both 1 ABC and 1 DEF - I can't seem to find any seat maps on a 3rd party website (only on Ryanair) that have a row 1 DEF. Any ideas?

Does row 28 on the MAX have extra legroom or not? Aerolopa seems to suggest it does, but the summary in post 1 suggests not. Ryanair website is not clear, especially as the config seems to have changed to a Max than when originally booked.

Like the look of a row with extra legroom and only two seats, but not next to the toilets and galley.

I think row 28 on the MAX is extra legroom.

Good seating map, as a 195cm tall guy will definitely opt for 29A or 29F for extra leg room on 737 Max.

As someone who was lucky enough to be randomly allocated 29A on a flight not long ago, the virtually unlimited legroom was definitely appreciated! There's a crew jumpseat opposite 29F so I'd definitely recommend the A side if available.
