Ryanair Unveil New Seating

For the anoraks amongst us...

Ryanair have unveiled their new 3-3 seating for the upcoming MAX fleet. Still more legroom than BA, Lufthansa and others (!) but don't expect a seat pocket to hold anything in....

Article below.

They'd get rid of toilets if they could just because you didn't specifically ask!

FR didn't invent anything new, this just Zodiac's Slim+ (minus the net and magazine pocket on top):

And no, its not more legroom than other airlines.

Ryanair claims passengers will have 31 inches in which to stretch their limbs, up from 30.
FR has joined the bandwagon of Recaro & Zodiac to talk about personal space and not talk about pitch. The seat will not have the ability to recline either. The reduced seating surface makes the leg drop off, and thus slide under the seat in front in a better way.

Interesting info, thank you. Though in terms of Y seating I thought their legroom was still competitive?

The journo is equating 'pitch' to legroom. Depending on the width/thickness of the seatback and the seating surface the 'leg room' or personal space can be wildly different. So a slimline seat with no recline can offer more personal space on a 29 inch pitch than a traditional 'well padded' seat with recline on 31 inch pitch.

Some more about pitch was written by @sbm12 and others on RGN: https://runwaygirlnetwork.com/?s=pitch&submit=Search
