Questions re: ryanair checked baggage
This is my first time flying on my own and when I booked my flight online I stupidly added a checked bag without even thinking. However I've realized I can easily fit everything I need in my cabin bag and won't need a checked bag at all. So I have two questions:
1) Any chance I'll be able to cancel the checked in bag and get a refund? (ok, even I know this is about as likely as hell freezing over) 2) Should I just ignore the bag-drop desk and just go through to board when I'm at the airport? Or would it be best to go explain that I won't be needing a checked in bag? |
I don't think that you can get a refund, and I would just ignore the bag drop desk as it would just waste your time
|
No chance of a refund and I'm sure there's no worries about not using the checked bag.

Questions re: ryanair checked baggage
Are you sure it all fits in? Are you sure your cabin bag is of the appropriate size? Does it weigh less than 10kg?
I would check your bag in for a more relaxed journey |
That is a good point. Ruinair's carry-on size limits are just that little bit narrower and shorter than full-service airlines.

baggage refund?
I would also like to know what the answer to that question would be.
Just booked a checked bag but could probably do without. |
Try calling Ryanair customer services ASAP, though I wouldn't hold out a great deal of hope that they'll refund you.

No refunds
Here's your answer:
