What airline will be the first to fly JFK - SVO again?

Whether it takes 2, 5 or 10 years before this is a possibility, what airline will have the highest chances of first flying between JFK & SVO?
I realize Aeroflot will have the largest incentive to do so, but given their likely issues with flying abroad, is it more likely that a US carrier will fly the route?

Delta, perhaps?

Also, doesn't necessarily have to be SVO and JFK, could be a direct flight between any NYC and Moscow area airports.

As much as I enjoyed visiting Moscow, unfortunately I believe this question to be quixotic at this point in time.

In any event, for sure the traffic is mostly Russians, either VFR or otherwise, so I bet a Russian carrier would be glad to fill in the need. For now, it's through IST, BEG, or the Middle East.

(The armchair route planner in me wonders about a NYC-Antalya flight, since AYT-Russia connections are boundless.)
LETTERBOY and pstm91 like this.
