Question E-Visa St. Petersburg

As of 1 of October 2019, 53 nationalities can get an e-visa when entering St. Peterburg.
E-visa

Anybody tried this and would like to share their experience?

I’m a Taiwanese and Australian national. Usually travel with my aussie passport but unfortunately Australia isn’t part of the visa free program. I applied for an e-visa with my Taiwanese passport almost a week ago and it was approved in appx 4 days. Just need to remember to print the visa out and also buy travel insurance.

Hi yellowmamba
Thanks for sharing your experience. Applied some days ago, and got it approved two days later.
I have printed a copy of my travel insurance, and also had the insurance company specify that it is valid in Russia etc.
Soo now I am ready for exploring St. Petersburg.

Did you go already?

Applied, got approved in 3 days. So much better than the usual visa hustle!

Anyone have experiences they can share upon arrival into LED? Are the immigration officers familiar with what to do and do they ask to see any documents besides flight ticket / hotel bookings?

Just remember guys, that the e-visa isn't valid for the Helsinki-St Pete train, must fly or sail (well, on a ferry). This is a bummer, hopefully changes soon.

You can also check the numerous buses and mini-buses on that route. They may be traveling through the eligible land crossings.
