Confusion regarding OCI at Aeroflot Counter in JFK

I recently flew from JFK to Delhi via Moscow (SVO) by Aeroflot. I have a US Passport and a OCI card. The check-in agent doesn't seem to be aware of the OCI card and kept asking if its my second passport in spite of telling him that its a life long visa. After some wait and him asking a few of his colleagues, luckily someone knew what it was and I was checked in. He was friendly and did apologize for not knowing about it but I am surprised that this route doesn't have that many OCI passengers that should give instant recognition to this card.
