Vacation on a business visa

I've got a unlimited entry multi-year business visa. Now I'm thinking of going skiing in Russia.
Anyone with experience on how to handle that? Apply for a seperate tourist visa, contact the consulate or simply travel?

Simply travel. I had a 3 year multi-entry business visa and used it pretty much for several (non-business) trips. Not a question asked by the passport control offices othen than "where are you flying from".
