The cheapest prices appeared to be USD105. We are not entitled to the cheaper, Category 4 tickets, priced in Rubles. Those are for Russian residents (and anyone who happens to be living there).

I received my email confirmation finally. So it would appear that they will mail my ticket to me. Looks like I can get on with getting the Fan ID.

Just wondering if there any opinions or feedback, but doesn't this current whole diplomatic spat make going to Russia for the WC a bit dodgy? I am keeping an eye on the situation to see how it evolves, but for us UK passport holders I do wonder as to the wisdom of going there at the moment.

Finding it a bit tricky getting the Fan ID website to accept a passport photo. Will have to go and do a new one, with a truly white background.

Ok, created the Fan ID, all is well and it is on the way, apparently. One last question: can I buy a ticket for someone else on my account, or do they have to set up a separate account? The next sales period, the last minute phase, will open at 11am CET on the 18th April.

I believe that you need to be the principal buyer

To be precise, I have a ticket for myself for one match. Can I buy a ticket for somebody who will accompany me to the same match by paying for it through my FIFA account?

Just to give an update, my Fan ID arrived here in Montreux, Switzerland, in my post box. Hard to believe that this thing is actually a substitute for a visa!

Has anyone received their tickets yet? No sign of them so far for me.
Cheers
Howie

Some people from MX have begun to receive them: normal and hospitality

I saw a lot of complaints on the location for the category 1 and 2 tickets in some stadiums which look more like 3, 4

You will receive a DHL email when they ship.

I took cat 3 tickets so I'm happy as long as I'm not hanging from the top of the stadium..

Are they behind the goals? Low level behind the goals are generally the cheapest seats.

Mine turned up a couple of days ago here in Montreux. They were in an oversized DHL envelope.

Slightly OT. If any FTers will be around St. Petersburg during the World Cup and wants to meet up, feel free to PM me. We can potentially even organise a mini DO if anyone is interested?

Mine showed up on Thursday. 200 level behind the goal for the semi and all the way upstairs behind the goal for the England/Belgium game. About what I expected for a CAT 3 ticket.
