Cigarettes at DME
 
How cheap are cigs to buy at DME? is it cheaper to buy on way to Moscow?I don't want to carry 200 fags with me for 2 days......thanks in advance if anybody knows.....:cool:

Cigarettes are very cheap in Russia, so no need to buy them beforehand. If there are any for sale in DME outside of Duty Free stores they will also be cheap. Not sure if the local pricing laws also apply to duty free sales.

There has been some recent smoking reform in Russia. It hasn't made cigarettes more expensive (as far as I can tell as a non-smoker), but it has made them marginally more difficult to find. What I've observed is that shops can't display cigarettes for sale, the consumer has to ask for them. Fortunately, I guess, the Russian for cigarettes is roughly cigaretti - very similar to English. Enjoy your trip.

Cheers,the fags are for my wife,I don't smoke,looking forward to this trip,been wanting to see Moscow and Red Square since I was a kid,and I am now 66!!!!;)

There was nowhere in the airport to buy cigarettes,looked all over the airport,nothing,only booze and perfumes.:td:

Keep in mind that duty free will most likely sell western-made cigs, while local stores may sell locally-made cigs. There is a difference.
