two questions: ground transpo and hotel recommendation
 

Hello. I have two questions for my trip to Russia next month.

1) Is there a shuttle bus or any other service that I can get to go from DME Airport to SVO? I will arrive in DME on a flight from Europe and then need to get to SVO for a flight back to the US. I will spend the night at an SVO hotel so I don't to go to SVO quickly, but I just want to know what the options are?

2) can anyone recommend a reasonable hotel near SVO Airport. It doesn't need to be super fancy. I just need for it to be inexpensive AND have a free shuttle to get to/from SVO.

1) No direct service is available. Your choice is either a taxi (approx. $50-60, slightly more during weekday peek hours) or bus/train to city+metro+bus/train to airport (about $15 with trains, less with buses).

UPD: If Domodedovo's web site is accurate, the official taxi operators charge about $40 (at today's exchange rate).

Taxi will be the best option if you'd want to avoid schlepping around your luggage. It might take long depending on time of the day.

Most inexpensive option (total time 3 hours):

1) From DME, take bus to Domodedovskaja metro station
2) Take green line metro across the city to last stop Rechnoi Vokzal
3) From there, take bus to SVO

Sheraton SVO is great with a nice pool. Collapse of RUB makes everything relatively inexpensive...
I would take taxi assuming $40-50 is current unless you have no bags and want to have a bit of an adventure.
