please help with visa question! [Transiting through DME]

I have a return ticket to Moscow on Swiss Air...but then purchased a separate return ticket on Lufthansa to Frankfurt...I am only transiting between Swiss and Lufthansa at DME for 3 hours on the outbound, and 4 hours on the return ... do I need any visa at all, or is one not necessary since I am transiting (even though it's two sepearate tickets)?
