Moscow bans hard liquor sales at all airports
Anything over 15% alc. by volume is banned
Article Russian law-enforcement agencies start to get involved in the anti-alcohol campaign, which President Dmitry Medvedev announced. The sales of strong alcohol beverages at bars and restaurants of Moscow airports will be banned. Prosecutors will probably ban the sales of alcohol at duty free stores – they are currently looking for legal reasons to substantiate the endeavor, The Vedomosti newspaper wrote. What???? No more giant killer bottles of Stoli with the hand pump?
Actually, I always wondered who bought those huge bottles of Stoli. They had to be at least 4 L. IMHO, the largest purchasers of alcohol in the Moscow airport duty free shops were Japanese people buying Johnny Walker. |
Still planty of booze for sale on Thursday in DME, albeit at prices hugher than LHR.
