SU's 777 on C class

I will fly from NRT to SVO on SU's 777 C class. How is SU's 777 on C class? Seat, Meals, IFE and so on.

Don't know if this is any help, but I flew their 767 C class SVO-JFK this summer. It is nothing to write home about. IFE was very basic, and the seats are old school club class -- both recline and legroom would be less than you would find in BA, etc.

I found their food (including black caviar) to be surprisingly good -- no mean acheivement given my general disdain for airline food and aversion to Russian cuisine. The cabin staff was also remarkably attentive, frequently coming by to discreetly place a bottle of water for me while I was asleep, and showing a general sense of initiative I find often lacking amongst FAs these days. At the same time, they were not a nuisance, and knew when to let one relax.

Clearly there are better C services out there, but for the price point, SU is not bad at all. Especially in the cases where one is able to "purchase" an upgrade from a Y fare on board.

Can anyone comment of the 777 Business Class

SU is over $1000 less expensive than DL for a Business seat JFK-SVO-JFK. But I too would like info on the 777 experience.

I can see that the C section has standard airline 232 seating in the 777.

The 767 has 222 seating as apposed to 212 by most airlines.

I thought a business seat in SU was more like $3000 less than DL.

Send a report on quality after your trip. I will be on something in C IAD-MOW in may.

A 777 is 232 in C on all trans-oceanic airlines. I'm more interested in pitch. DL is usually 3K more; but there is a web fare right now that is only 1K more than the current SU fare sale.

Actually, on Delta and Continental (which offer a "business/first") product, it's 2-2-2. So there is a significant difference there.

You're quite right Boston Flyer, I made an [ASSUME]ption - not having flown either DL or CO transatlantic on a 777. My only experience was with a DL 767.

But I still am hoping for infro on the SU 777.

I flew SVO - DEL on Aeroflot 777 back in end of 2003 .
It's brand new seat , all electrical with quite big personal screen.
Audio video on demand etc.

I found it comparable if not better than the SAA A340-600 seat .

If you are interested in any details let me know ...

Be aware of the IL-96 ( sometimes flying on the same route as the 777s) though ...
