Aeroflot may get sanctioned by U.S.
 

Not welcome news for anyone who relies on non-stop SU flights between US and Russia. As widely reported, the airline faces a ban on its flights starting as early as late November as part of the escalation of sanctions by the US against Putin and his government.

Not psyched by this news, as we have in-laws who fly in to LAX on SU's non-stop, which, after the gutting of Transaero is the only direct option remaining.

My next SU US flights in the month before will take this into consideration. With transaero gone, so were the Canadian - RU flights, so no shortcut there either. UN used to fly to Toronto.

More importantly, what happens to SU Elites who frequent this route?
I hope my status gets extended at least…,,,,,,,,,

I personally hope this never happens, politics aside.
