SU lounges in Kazakhstan

Hi all,

I'll be flying SVO-TSE and SVO-ALA in a few weeks and I was wondering what the lounge situation was at both airports for STE+ customers on SU. I've tried to scour the internet for some information but my searches have not returned anything so far. The flagship Air Astana lounge at TSE looks quite nice but I guess SU uses a different lounge...?

Thanks in advance!

Hey RabbitIYH,

according to the Aeroflot international website both Almaty (ALA) and Astana (TSE) provide lounges access with TSE offering 3 to choose from.

Thanks, got that info as well :)

I was just wondering if anyone had any further information on what I can expect, and I'm not expecting very much at all :D

Also, some of that info on the website seems to be a little bit out of date, SU doesn't use that lounge at LYS anymore for example.

Oh and welcome to FT!

Well it must all have changed since I was last in Kazakhstan. Then there was a CIP coffee bar that anyone could use and an Air Astana lounge that was very nice at TSE if you were flying KC; others did not get access.

ALA had a lounge that was common to all airlines using the airport and it was just a waiting area. Nothing free; your airline gave you a voucher for your coffee and KitKat.

Ok, it's actually even worse than what I was expecting. I've also heard that KC is a lot nicer than SU on these routes but since I'm flying Y and don't have any status on KC, I still lean towards SU.

the lounge situation in most airports in kazakhstan is dire if you are not flying KC.
