S7: cheapest international intra-Asia route?
 

Got confirmed for S7 status challenge and need to fly on them before end of 2018. Any idea which of their routes may be the cheapest inside Asia? I am unsure if I want/can go to Russia next year.

May I ask how did you get the status challenge? I thought they don't offer it.

To the OP:

S7 does not have any 5th freedom flights, so your best bet would be to fly HKG>VVO>/ICN/BKK or something similar.

Hey Rami Tamimi, I am not sure if it really worth it paying so much, to be honest. Unless you have A LOT of flights in a certain period of time and this price can be justified. But I like having this option. It's truly revolutionary! (did S7 timed it with 100 years anniversary of Russian revolution which was celebrated in October? :-D

I think it can be useful if say a couple flies a roue which involves a connection with 2 x long hauls

-8x lounge access (2 pax, 2 lounges each way).... even if we take the Priority Pass price of EUR 27 per entry (the walk up price for the PPL lounge in HKG is 75USD pp), that's already 260USD and the lounges available for OW elites are almost always way better than the PP ones;
-Extra baggage, never paid for it, so not sure what is the monetary value here;
-Extra Space seat... I remember that CX charges around 100USD for these if you don't have status;
-Priority check-in, security, potential OP UPs..... priceless

So yes, I fully agree that it's not for everyone, but its an interesting offer nonetheless.
