ELITE PLUS lounge access denied

Got a very unpleasant surprise and quite weird reason for being denied last week.
Was at UFA airport, flight to SVO with SU (i'm Elite plus).
I have been denied to get lounge access because "only if you have a connection in SVO to an international flight you can access the lounge, even flying in Y".

Never seen this before with any alliance and even argumenting that it's weird, the soviet style dragon did not even check the rules or changed her mind.

Anyone can confirm or explain?

That is normal Skyteam rules, no lounge access on domestic flights unless connecting to/from international flight.
I'm assuming BTW that you are not an SU Elite, then you would have been allowed access.

oh i see... i'm a *A guy and with sky team i never fly domestic, was the first time. Sounds like a very bad news to be honest. But thanks for the information.

Ditto is absolutely right. SU used to have more generous rules than Skyteam and allow non SU Elite+ to use the lounges on purely domestic itienearies, but they now just stick to ST rules. It would be the same with any other Skyteam airline.

Yep i got it. I have flown a lot domestic with *A but with ST always international flights so was new for me. Sounds very weird and restrictive but if it's the rule...

Yep - well known ST limitation (it really keeps me out of this alliance)...

A pretty bad policy if you fly within Mainland China.
MU and CZ are super large Skyteam carriers.
