UFA - KUF with O793

Hi,
Got an issue on a trip to plan. Cities are not that far, but as always in Russia, connection can be a pain.

Options :
- train > too long
- UFA - SVO - KUF > long and long connection
- O793 flight...

Anyone got experience with Orenbug airline and their LET 410?

I have flown a lot of small airlines in Kaz and russia (some good, some horrible) but can't find informations online about this specific segment. Any advice?

I've only checked random dates but connection times in SVO don't seem to be too bad.

Alternatively, you could check S7 through DME.

Well, Minimum including flights is around 6/7 hours for the best flights with S7 vs 1.25 minutes with the small and slow aircraft (cf : http://sales.orenairport.ru/oxygen ).

The shortest one-stop I can see is with UT air with an 1 h layover at VKO. But that does put you in Samara at 3 A.M. Personally, I'd take a non-stop on Orenair (or whatever it is that they call themselves now).

Or you could get the SU1235 out of Ufa at 6 AM, connecting to SU1210, and be in KUF at 10:45. The connection at SVO is 1 h 25 min.

Yep, the one you are talking about is an option thanks to the +2 hours with moscow, but i think i will try the non stop with Orenburg airlines and see how it goes.

Why on earth would someone suggest connecting via Moscow for this route?

I don't know if you can read Russian, but in any case, you can check out the pictures. The trip reporters rate the airline pretty well.

Ufa - Samara by train is e.g. 7h 3min/ 8h 30 min (various direct trains). Trains are on time and travel is very comfortable.
Samara railway station building: Samara-Passazhirskaya (Russian: Самара-Пассажирская) is the tallest in Europe, interesting modern architecture .. search for pictures on the net.. all the services (including accomodation) are provided there and it's in the city proper not in the suburbs.
O793 flight is faster and still ok.
