First time Ubering - LOTS of luggage looking for suggestions

We will be taking 4 people and 10 pieces of luggage to airport in IND. Having never Ubered before I am confused on what level of car I need to request. Anyone have a suggestion? Any other tips? Thank you

Uber XL should be fine

Agree that it's the best choice, but 10 pieces of luggage might be too much for even an SUV... Depends on how big the luggage is...

Yeah, "10 pieces of luggage" is not exactly specific. 10 suitcases, even 10 roll-aboards, would probably be difficult to fit in the back of, say, a Hyundai Santa Fe or Ford Explorer.
The XL just means it has a 3rd row of seats and can carry 6 passengers. It doesn't guarantee you an Escalade or Yukon. :)

OP might really need two cars, maybe 1 XL and 1 regular.
Even if the luggage fits in the back of a 7-seater SUV, if you've got 4 adult passengers in the front/middle, it could be mighty uncomfortable, depending on how far from the airport OP is.

XL on Uber/Lyft only means six passenger seats so it could be anything from a van to a crossover with third row seating. A van should be fine with a heavy dose of luggage stacking but a crossover will be troublesome even if half your luggage is non-personal items.

Assuming you do not want to spend on an Uber Black SUV, consider two regular cars which should be enough unless your luggage really is 10 non-personal items.

Can you split into 2 ubers? 2 adults each with 5 pieces per car?

Definitely request XL. Also, as noted, there's a difference between 10 personal items and 10 steamer trunks.

Suggest that after you request the car, you immediately text the driver and tell him your requirements, and tell him to cancel if his car isn't big enough.

Be prepared, if need be, to take two cars - not sure if you're going 5 miles or 50.
