Anyone bring their own car seat for Uber (from EWR)

My wife, daughter, and I are flying in on a late night flight from LAX next week. We'll have our own car seat, which we're pretty quick at installing. Has anyone ordered an Uber and installed their own car seat? Are drivers generally accommodating with this? Or should we call CarMel or one of the other livery services and set up pick up ahead of time.

I've installed carseats in Ubers a number of times, never had an issue. I assume when you say "pretty quick, you mean 2-3 minutes, not 10-15.

Yes, 2-3 minutes. LATCH makes these kinds of installations much easier, and the carseat in question has a very fast attachment set up for LATCH (Chicco Nextfit).

Yeah, no problem at all. LATCH is great for those of us who frequently install and remove carseats.
