Are annual fee cash back programs worth it?
My fave used to be the TimesPoints
I first found iDine from my Chase credit card, the offer is your first $29 earning will be treat as membership fee, then you will get full benefit. Compare to Rewards Network own $49 fee, this is better. However, I found TimesPoints this year, which is no fee and full benefit (i.e. up to 20% cash back). Unfortornately, TimesPoints is already discontinued. However, it gives a special offer here, one year fee, then first $19 will be membership fee. Here is the link http://www.rewardsnetwork.com/?campaignCd=NYRN Offer Expire 12/31/2007 I didn't dine out much, and I am in small city, where not much paticipate places, so I just use Upromise, which is only upto 8%... I checked some airline one, it is upto 10 points, is that really good? |
Is the $49 / year cash back program worth it?
I tried to search for the cashback amounts, but couldn't find anything on this forum. I suspect I haven't mastered the search function on this - since it seems like an obvious question.
I see it is a $49 annual fee for idine. I just was wondering what % i can expect back from dining at their approved restaurants. Thanks |
I suspect most of us are miles hounds - but this thread (link) that popped up was this one, with some information that might be useful to you.
You can use Advanced Search, request Threads Only, and use "cashback" or "cash+back" for your search terms, etc. |
I post my info and question in this tread (last post)http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=608638
But seems nobody read that tread |
