Priority Club switch to United for IDine?

Greetings,
I currently have Priority Club Dining Rewards and was wanting to switch to United Dining Rewards. I woudl like to use the same credit card. Do I have to cancel my Priority one and sign up under United's site? What woudl happen if I signed up under United's site without cancleing my priority club one?

I think you can keep both open...

if you keep at least one CC in each one. You cannot have the same CC on both accounts though. When I first received my PC CC, I was already a member of the AA iDine program and tried to enter my PC CC but it kept telling it was already enrolled. I finally called iDine and that is when I found out PC had an iDine program. I still decided to stay in the AA club because building miles there is my top priority right now. You are best to call them and get the official word.

You will need to cancel your Priority Club account altogether first to use the same credit for your yet-to-be-opened United account. If not, the UA one you set up would reject that card.
Easier would be adding a second card (even a debit card with MC/Visa logo is OK) to the Priority Club account as a "place holder," then cancelling the currently-linked card from that account before setting setting up your new UA one.

Thanks,
I updated my Priority Club with an auxillary card and signed up for a new UA account with my main card no problem.
