Idine AND Resturant.com - Can It Be Done?
 

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can buy a particular resturants gift certificate through resturant.com (to get the discount) and get the idine points if it is an idine resturant?

In order to get Idine credit, you need to pay at the resturant with a registered credit card. If you buy gift certificates through resturant.com, you are paying the web site and not the resturant. However any overage (you have $50 in gift certificates and your bill is $60), would earn Idine miles, assuming you pay the overage with a registered credit card.

As with the previous post, that is what happens; I know, I have done it.

I often buy the $25 GC and use it was credit towards the bill, pay with my registered debit card on the remaining balance and earn miles on what I paid ($50 bill - $25 GC = $25 paid w/ debit card or 250 AA miles.)
