Can I use MPcc for AA Idine?

First, sorry if this is a redundant ? or in the wrong forum.

OK, Have been a UA MP member for a while and recently joined AAdvantage. In my welcome email they have a link for Idine. In the sign-up they ask for the major cc that I will be using at the participating restaurants. My idea is to use my MPcc and get miles on both UA and AA. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

I did precisely the same thing to top off my AA account. Works perfectly well.

Welcome to Flyertalk.

We have an Idine forum here, so I'll go ahead and move this there for you.

The MP Visa will most likely automatically sign you up for the MP idine, so it will probably be best to call them and have that removed before you can sign up for the AA idine.

You can also do it on the website. An advantage of creating a web profile is that it removes the once per month dining restriction at many restaurants.

How can you collect miles at two different airlines on the same credit card with IDine?
I tired to register a card with UA and got an error message saying my card was already registered to AA.

You can only attach one airline (or iDine Prime) to a credit card via iDine. First remove the card from your AA profile, then add it to UA.

The reward you get from the issuing bank (FF miles, hotel points, rebates, etc.) has is unrelated to iDine. At various points in time, I've had my AAdvantage Mastercard attached to various airlines. I always get the 1 AA mile per dollar from Citibank and the 10 <whatever> miles per dollar from iDine.

I've held 4 or 5 different airline cards and none of them have ever auto-enrolled me in iDine. I've always gone online to do it myself. Maybe that's a new feature of the UA card...I don't know.

These days, I focus on iDine Prime (a.k.a. the Rewards Network). I have too many FF miles to keep paying 2 cents cash-out-of-pocket for them.

Well, after bothering to look at my MP stats I noticed that I got 5x miles for a place I ate and used the card at from the Idine list. So it does appear that UAMP automatically signed me up. Prior to checking that I signed up online with AA. Since I have no way of logging in on the auto MP setup, and I did get an AA profile, login, etc. I'm gonna assume that the AA online bumped the UA auto. I know, never assume :).

On the plus side the online AA sign-up removed the restrictions and added miles to a few of the restaurants. I will be eating at one off the list tomorrow so I'll know soon enough what happened as opposed to what I'm assuming will happen.

Mormik, I was asking about getting Idine miles for AA, and 1 for 1 miles for using the MP cc. Seemed reasonable but I was not sure. So I asked :)

Oh yeah, Thanks to all of you!
