idine deals

I just bought a 50% off gift cert to a restaurant for my sister in Cleveland.

Right now, it appears that this feature is only available in Cleveland and Houston. Perhaps it's a pilot program.

My questions are:
-Has anyone here used this feature before?
-Do I get milage for the cost of the cert?
-If my sister uses my CC that is registered to an idine program do I get the milage?

Hello camargo,

You are correct that our new program, iDine Deals, is currently available only in the Cleveland (http://www.idinedeals.com/cleveland/) and Houston (http://www.idinedeals.com/houston/) markets. iDine Deals is a new offering from Rewards Network, featuring discounts of 50% off or greater at local restaurants.

Currently, you will not earn rewards (mileage, points, cash back, etc.) when you purchase an iDine Deal.

Thanks for dining with us--hope your sister enjoys her deal!

Best regards,
Elizabeth, on behalf of Rewards Network

For a mileage addict like myself, that phrase cuts like a knife.
I'll give it a shot anyway...speaking of which, any guesstimate as to when it will make it to Los Angeles? Thanks.
