GPS Failure Car Rental Scam
 

I am looking for fellow travellers that experienced a similar car rental scam. I rented a compact car from Carsson Car Rental in Szczecin, Poland for a week with unlimited mileage. Two days into the rental, the company representative called me and requested that I do not use the car because of "possible GPS failure." He said he would contact me soon with information on the replacement. Then his phone went silent. He called after three days and said I could use the car again because the problem was gone. When returning the car, the company denied everything and refused any refund. It looks to me like saving on the miles driven in a very peculiar way. Thoughts?
