PA Suburbs: Short Term Upscale Rental

Odd ball topic here, and hoping someone has a great idea for the following:

Interview
Need to arrive for a few interviews in an upscaled vehicle.
We do not priorize vehicles, and these opportunities are ones where peers in these roles drive expensive cars.

We rarely rent cars, yet active in points/miles game, have a number of various credit cards that may help. No Silvercar service in our market.

QUESTION:
Where in the Philly suburbs would I rent an upscale vehicle for the least amount? Only a few hours needed, fine renting the entire day just need upscale car for lowest rate.

Question is not about which credit card to use (ie for insurance,) nor about which vehicle to rent. Anything upscale (yet not over the top) is fine (audi, bmw, lexus, tesla, etc)

You should check the websites of Hertz, Avis and National at the Philly airport. They are your best bets to reserve a luxury vehicle. Note that being able to reserve a luxury vehicle like a BMW, Mercedes, Audi will be much more expensive than a standard car. Be careful when just booking a regular "Luxury car". Typically the vehicles in this class are just nicer American cars like a Lincoln, Chrysler 300 LTD, etc. You have to book the guaranteed vehicle classes (at a much higher cost) to get the really premium models. National does have higher-end cars available to Emerald Executive members booking a "regular" car, but unless you have that status, you're probably going to have to pony up and reserve a guaranteed class with one of the companies.

If you let us know dates/times you're looking at, we can see what might be available at a discounted rate. Note that while you might be able to find a higher-end vehicle at a non-airport location, they will be few and far between unless you get lucky or find a higher-end vehicle rental firm or look for a rental with Turo or Getaround to rent from an individual owner.

Status Tricks or Matches?

Excellent response. Thank you. Airport is a fair distance out of the way, however manageable. This Wednesday, January 23rd, then another (different company) on Monday (where airport os even further away still than the first.)

OH, and some rentals scream rental from across the parking lot. Would these rentals be more discreet?

Actually, I believe Sixt at PHL is still open. Their website was giving conflicting information earlier. You can rent a Luxury car with Sixt for a discounted rate of $104.13 which they describe as a Mercedes C-Class or similar or a Luxury SUV (Range Rover Velar) for $108.65, and here are some options from other companies.

Sixt is located off-airport at 3601 Island Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19153.

Note that rentals are priced on a 24-hour day, so whether you rent for 1 hour or 24 hours, you're going to pay the daily rate.

Fees

This is nice....Sixt...in addition to the advertised price:
- rental facility carge $8.00
- rental surcharge $2.00
- AP Concession Recovery Fee $7.16
- Taxes $9.56
An additional $30.00 nearly in extra fees

-----

There ended up being a gltich, prices returned higher. Found similar at Hertz. Interesting, to your point, the same reservation at any other hertz outside the airport and the price jumps about 35%

----

Anyone with discount codes to Hertz or Sixt?

AutoSlash figures out the best discount/coupon code for any rental. Just book what you want at the undiscounted rate wherever you like and then track it for lower rates using the link below.

Some of these cars may scream rental if they have out of state plates. Hertz and National tend to offer a lot of one-ways, whereas Sixt has a much more limited presence in the US. So think more about them to minimize the risk of this potential issue.

Great point. I will certainly inquire.
