Underage fee for just one day?

I looked for a suitable old thread to post this in but couldn't find one.

A 23 year old in the family will be leaving from our destination a day later than everyone else. We'd like to add her to our Enterprise rental so she can have the car for the extra day. If we take her to the airport to add her as an authorized driver on the last day, will we be charged the underage fee for only that last day, or for every day of the rental? Thanks in advance.

Easy solution: Join AAA, rent from Hertz, use the underage fee waiver. Either way, you will probably still have to pay the additional driver fee.

Unfortunately Hertz is several hundred dollars more expensive because it's a one way rental. I'm hoping to pay the underage fee for one day rather than all 4.

Hmm, interesting. Hertz one-way rates tend to be better than Enterprise rates, most of the time.

I've always found Hertz to have the highest one way rates of anyone. We must be in different parts of the country.
