Changing Alamo car in different state
 
I picked up an Alamo car in BOS, driving down to MA. During the drive I noticed the car was running rough - some sort of problem with the automatic gear, probably.

I'm an hour and a half away from BOS, and don't want to make the round tip if I can avoid it.

Can I expect Alamo in RI (RI airport) to change the car, or is there no chance as it's a different state ?

You should be able to swap at any corporate-owned location, which PVD is. They should be able to help you there. Good luck and safe travels.
