Have they increased it, or have I been lax in noticing it?

2 day Alamo rental in SFO this past weekend, total charge (btw, thanks Autoslash), $36.57. Of the $36.57 charge, there was a fee of $18.00 for the Air Tran fee.

Ridiculous.

Welcome to SFO. It's been there as long as I can remember, but different agencies call it different things. I found a Hertz receipt from 2014 that had it listed as a $20 "transportation fee."
