Rental cars with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

I'd like this thread to be about what rental cars you've rented have had Android Auto or Apple CarPlay installed. This will allow those who would like that functionality to find rental cars models that most likely will have it installed.

Please update the wiki with your findings.

Bump.

Does no one else actively seek out rental cars with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay?

I'll move this to the rental car forum, where you might get more replies.

This is a great idea!!

I think this will be more common in 2017 as more cars will be equipped with this feature. Nothing is worse than getting an acient car with no Bluetooth and no aux plug. Hertz is especially proficient in assigning such cars to me.

From Hertz:
2016 GMC Yukon

From National:
2017 Ford Fusion SE
2016 Chevrolet Malibu LT
2017 Ford Taurus Limited
2016 Dodge Durango R/T

I think you could technically do it on the 2016 Hyundai Genesis and Sonata if you install a software update into the car... GM cars seem to be the best bet for Android Auto as I think Ford cars require Sync 3 and Fiat Chrysler ones need UConnect 8.4" screens, which aren't always standard except on higher trims.

2016 Chevy Camaro
2016/2017 Chevy Impala
2017 ford Mustang
2017 first fusion titanium and hybrid version
2016 caddalic AT&T, CT
2017 Nissan Maxima ( I know that only has Apple Car play)

At least from what I've seen the Ford fusion SE trim none have the sync 3 infotainment system and no Apple Carplay. I think only the titanium models do.

The 2016 Fusion SE I had was terrible. The 2017 Fusion SE I received from National had the 202A equipment group and the SE technology package (navigation, Sync 3, 11 speakers). Great car!

To add to this:

Hertz
2016 Chevrolet Tahoe
2016 Chevrolet Suburban

National
2016 Cadillac XTS
2017 Ford Explorer Limited

That's good then. I usually just go for the titanium trim level or avoid them Tbh. Unless they also include the ecoboost engine. I like the fusion but only with the sync 3 infotainment system.

I've only seen the SE trim level ones without 202A equipment group at LGA and JFK

I find how Chrysler implementation of Apple Car play to be quite ugly..... You have the screen and under it all the uconnect buttons.

Peugeot 2008 - Avis UK - compact size.
Has Apple car play in menu. Doesn't work. Peugeot seems to have shipped a whole batch of cars with faulty software, only works after a dealer visit to fix software. (Thus fulfilling every stereotype I have about French car manufacturers and electronics). The car is unimpressive anyway, so plenty of reasons to try and avoid this model.
